HorseRescueOntario - We are a compassionate group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing horses from slaughter.

Certified Equine Rescue Board - C.E.R.B stands for the Certified Equine Rescue Board. This means we certify equine rescue organizations. The certification process includes farm checks, references, and proper adoption procedures.

The Exceller Fund - The Exceller Fund is an Internet group that raises money to rescue Thoroughbred horses who would otherwise be sent to slaughter. We do this in memory of Exceller - a racing legend on two continents - who died an untimely and undignified death in Sweden.

Equine Rescue Association - The Equine Rescue Association (E.R.A.) operates a shelter for horses in Marysville, Washington. Bringing horses and humans together with mutual trust, respect, and fulfillment.

Friends of Horses, Rescue & Adoption - A nonprofit corporation dedicated to horse rescue and adoption based in metropolitan Denver, Colorado. We place many foals and horses in adoptive loving homes including PMU foals, retired thoroughbred racers, and a number of horses being auctioned for human consumption.

G.E.A.R.S. - G.E.A.R.S. is an organization set up primarily to give equines in hardship the opportunity at life they deserve. Whether they are unwanted, retired, abused, neglected, abandoned, heading to auction or slaughter, we will not refuse their chance at living a full and pleasurable life.

Rock Haven Equine Rescue -  Founded in 2001 by Lenore Boniface, with the support of her husband Glenn and their two children, Chasin and Cierra in Grafton, ON. It started out with one horse, Charley, and has now become the "haven" of many.

Starflower Stables - Welcome to Starflower Stables. Here we are focusing mostly on lessons and training, we also pasture board. I am currently studying the Parelli Program and going through the Levels. I prefer to do Natural Horsemanship in my training program and in my lessons.

Cannington Horse Rescue - Started in June 2002, but without a name or place to call home. We have been able to assist in placing various horses to date, from companion horses, up to and including a full draft team as a set.

SAVING GRACE EQUINE RESCUE - Founded in 2000 by Janet Rowe to help horses and ponies in need. It is named after a sweet mare who unfortunately did not live through her horrific starvation ordeal. This mare, Gracie, gave Janet the incentive to help equines and the people involved with them.

The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada - Dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and protection of abandoned, neglected or abused donkeys, mules and hinnies, the Sanctuary provides these animals a lifelong home. The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada Farm, located outside Guelph, Ontario, is open to the public on Wednesdays and Sundays, 9-4, from May 1st until Thanksgiving.

Sasha's Legacy Equine Rescue - Our mission is to take in abused, neglected and unwanted horses and ponies. We will rehabilitate these animals and place them in loving adoptive homes. The centre is fortunate to have very dedicated volunteers that help with every aspect of the work involved.

JEF Equine Rescue - The JEF Equine Rescue is a relatively new operation, located in Peterborough, Ontraio. We named it after James Elliot Freeman, the brother/son of Freehold Equine's owners. Jamie was a very kind person with a huge heart and tons of love for animals. While he was disabled with Cerebral Palsy he was still very vocal on matters of animal care and the rights of those who cannot speak for themselves. Jamie participated in the therapeutic riding programs of SARI and CARD, and came to love horses from this involvement. Sadly Jamie is no longer with us, succumbing to a fatal combination of heat stroke and pneumonia. We decided to create an Equine Rescue and dedicate it to his name.

LongRun Thoroughbred Retirement Society - We believe that racehorses deserve a dignified retirement. Our aim is to offer an alternative to owners and trainers to continue racing horses that are no longer able to compete by finding these racehorses' adoptive homes and perhaps an alternative career as riding horses or as companions.

Phase 2 Thoroughbreds - Phase II Thoroughbreds is a lifetime dream come true for Elissa Blowe. Thoroughbreds are super athletes who love to please their owners. They have great personalities, excellent manners and love to work! Don’t miss out on the chance to change a horse’s life!
